Biography

Mohammad Toutiaee is an assistant teaching professor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Silicon Valley.

Since joining the university in 2021, Toutiaee has been teaching core courses like discrete structures, data science, and machine learning, infusing them with a philosophy of simplifying complex concepts. His research interests are firmly rooted in artificial intelligence, data science, and machine learning; he sees himself as a lateral thinker, deeply passionate about developing impactful products and experiences.

His significant contributions to the academic community are demonstrated by his publications in highly respected venues, including the Association for Computing Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, the IEEE International Conference on Big Data, and the International Conference on Advances in Big Data Analytics. Toutiaee completed both his master’s and doctorate in computer science at the University of Georgia.
