Faculty Voices: Assistant Professor Nadim Saad

Meet Nadim Saad, an assistant professor whose experience as a grad student “not so long ago” helps him focus on leveling the playing field for his students: “I do relate quite a lot to how they’re feeling joining a new program. We’re all learning, wherever we’re starting from, whether (or not) we have any background…that’s amazing. As long as we’re learning.”

Khoury Story: How I Connect with Students

Teaching professor Jeongkyu Lee joined Khoury College after 20 years as a teacher and academic researcher, driven by a desire to connect more closely with students. Now, he’s found his true calling in creating meaningful hands-on research opportunities for students, believing that such work provides invaluable preparation for students’ future careers.

As an undergraduate student in Korea, computer science did not come easy to Ilmi Yoon. But she hit her stride in her third year and went on to earn a PhD. Now at Khoury College, she uses her experience to help students build confidence in their studies.
