Biography

Zhuoran Huang is a doctoral student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. He is advised by Herman Saksono.

Huang is passionate about developing technology that makes evidence-based behavioral health interventions accessible to people without easy access to care. With foundations in clinical psychology and computer science, he explores how technology can enhance the accessibility, personalization, and effectiveness of health care. His research focuses on designing scalable and culturally tailored digital health interventions, with a priority focus on underserved communities. Huang’s work has appeared in Contemporary Clinical Trials, the Journal of Technology in Behavioral Science, Health Psychology, and various JMIR publications.

Before joining Khoury College in 2024, Huang was a research coordinator at Drexel University, where he managed a project focused on leveraging technology to optimize behavioral weight loss coaching.

In his free time, Huang enjoys cooking comforting home recipes and exploring baking projects ranging from traditional Asian pastries to fondant cake and holiday treats like Yule logs.
