Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Vermont, north of Burlington and not far from Lake Champlain and the Canadian border. I enjoy visiting my family and the beauty of the Green Mountain state whenever I can.
What are the details of your academic and professional background?
After graduating with a degree in business administration from Trinity College of Vermont in Burlington, VT, I joined IBM in Massachusetts where I enjoyed a long and successful career in client and partner executive roles. My experience includes building joint technology solutions and go-to-market plans that leverage cloud, data, and AI in partnership with independent software vendors, systems integrators, and cloud service providers from startups to technology leaders across various industries. I am a certified Alliance Manager and a member and past chapter leader in the Association of Strategic Alliance Professionals.
What led you to work in your field?
Working for a recognized global company brought me great pride and provided me the immense opportunity for professional development. I also have had the privilege of working with talented colleagues to apply leading technology solutions to impact industry and societal challenges. Building and growing mutually beneficial partnerships is an exciting challenge. I enjoy finding the win-win and bringing value.
What are the key aspects of your position at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most about your work?
At Khoury College, I work to identify, develop, and grow multi-faceted strategic partnerships. As a collaborator focused on mutual success, I look forward to working with faculty, staff, and students and building new partnerships that bring value to partners, opportunities for a diverse community of Northeastern students, and advancements in fields of computer science.
What do you find most compelling about the work that’s conducted at Khoury College?
I am so impressed with the caliber of expertise, deep knowledge, and skills in computer science that is recognized at Khoury College – across the faculty and research institutes, and also in talented students bringing value to industry partners through their experiential learning experiences. The focused programs and results increasing diversity in computer science over the past decade are outstanding and the focus on building an ecosystem of partnerships is evidence of how well attuned the college is to industry needs.
