What are the specifics of your educational/career background?
I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College and went on to receive my Master of Arts in Publishing and Writing from Emerson College. I’ve worked in higher education for over a decade in co-op, career services, and admissions.
What are the key aspects of your role at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I manage the undergraduate co-op team and work with students throughout the co-op process. I work with students throughout the co-op process in many capacities: teaching, one-on-one advising, and group meetings. I assist with resume critiques, interview skills, and offer support surrounding job selection, among other things. I also work with employers to support them in the hiring process, as well as in job development. The favorite aspect of my job is working with students and witnessing their career growth firsthand.
What’s the most compelling thing to you about the work that goes on at CCIS?
I am fascinated by the research of our faculty and the interesting projects which our students work on both in the classroom and on co-op. I love that the field constantly changes – it makes my job very exciting!
Where did you grow up or spend your most defining years?
I have lived north of Boston for the majority of my life. I went to school in Boston, but I studied abroad in London during my undergraduate years and worked in New York for a short period of time. Boston is definitely my home.
