Biography
Kenneth Jusino is a PhD student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. He is advised by Stavros Tripakis.
Jusino discovered the importance of scalable formal methods in verifying regulatory compliance while managing software engineering teams at Foundation Medicine. He joined Khoury College in 2026 to work with the Formal Methods Group, which strives to make scalable formal verification accessible enough for regulated corporations to adopt provably correct AI-accelerated programming. Jusino is passionate about the intersection of software engineering, pure mathematics, and theoretical computer science.
Before joining Khoury College, Jusino spent six years as a software engineer at Foundation Medicine, a subsidiary of Roche Inc., where he worked his way up to senior engineering manager. He was named a National Science Foundation CSGrad4US Fellow in 2024, with three years of financial support. Alongside conducting novel research and learning about his favorite subjects, Jusino’s favorite parts of his work are the social ones: meeting interested collaborators, working as a teaching assistant, and attending conferences around the world.
In his free time, Jusino enjoys biking along the Charles River, cooking Dominican food with his wife and dog, and spending time with his friends and family.
