What are the specifics of your educational/career background?
I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Northeastern University. My first position was at Dell Services, where I became a Red Hat Certified Administrator as well as a Red Hat Certified Engineer. Subsequently, I returned to the academic field as a Systems Administrator for Harvard University, where I earned my Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Deployment and Systems Management, as well as my ITIL Certification and training from PuppetLabs.
What are the key aspects of your role at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I maintain and improve the Linux environment at CCIS, including student lab machines, faculty machines, backend infrastructure, and more. I enjoy troubleshooting and creating solutions that are robust while being low maintenance.
What’s the most compelling thing to you about the work that goes on at CCIS?
As the world progresses further into the digital age, security becomes ever more important. Working for a college that has a program dedicated to information assurance is very compelling, as it indicates that CCIS is working to stay ahead of the curve.
