Biography
Gianna Williams is a PhD student at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. She earned her bachelor’s in computer science from American University. She is affiliated with the Northeastern Social Committee, the Alexandra To Lab, and the Civic A.I. Lab.
Williams is advised by Alexandra To. Her research interests are in Decolonial AI, Algorithmic Folk Theorization, Computational Social Science, and Digital resistance with a research foundation in Black feminist theory.
In her free time, Williams enjoys biking and creating content for her podcast “Girl Got Gumption.”
