Biography

Gary Cantrell is an associate teaching professor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, as well as the director of computing programs for the Portland campus. He earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degrees in computer science from Mississippi State University. 

Cantrell has been published in many areas such as the 2019 International Conference on Computational Science and Computational Intelligence and the Journal of Digital Forensics. 

Prior to joining Northeastern, he founded the Dixie State University Computer Crime lab and worked as a professor at Dixie State University and Southern Utah University. Cantrell also worked as a lab manager and primary instructor for the Mississippi State University Computer Crime Institute.
