Biography
Evangelos Bitsikas is a PhD student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. He is advised by Aanjhan Ranganathan.
Bitsikas' work, which has earned him a Google PhD Fellowship in Networking, combines systems engineering and security research to find and fix practical weakness in wireless infrastructures. This includes automated over-the-air security testing for 5G SA devices, security analysis of 5G NR sidelink (V2X), the design of new adaptive 5G networks, privacy and security risks in the eSIM ecosystem, and more. He is also an inventor on a patent application related to SMS side-channel localization.
Outside of research, Bitsikas enjoys traveling, sports, and watching movies.
