Blair MacIntyre is a teaching professor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. His area of teaching includes computer graphics, augmented and virtual environments, ethics and privacy, and user interface software. Prior to joining Northeastern, MacIntyre was a professor of interactive computing at Georgia Tech and a principal research scientist at Mozilla.
MacIntyre’s work has been published in numerous journals, including the Journal of Media Innovations (2021), Frontiers in Virtual Reality (2021), WebXR Developer Summit (2021), ACM Learning @ Scale (2020 and 2021), IEEE VR (2020), ACM SIGCHI Workshop on Social VR (2020), IEEE VR Workshop on Virtual Conferencing (2020), IEEE VR Workshop on K-12 Embodied Learning through VR/AR (2019), Web3D (2019), IEEE ISMAR (2018), and Workshop on Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality for HRI (2018).
He was born and raised in Canada. Outside of teaching, MacIntyre enjoys playing eSports video games (Overwatch and Valorant) and playing the bagpipes.
