Google Developer Group

Developers connecting and growing, supported by Google

The mission of the Google Developer Group (GDG) at Northeastern University Oakland is to create an inclusive and collaborative tech community where students can explore, learn, and build using Google technologies. Our purpose is to empower students, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds, to gain technical skills, engage in hands-on learning experiences, and develop professionally through workshops, hackathons, and networking opportunities.

By fostering innovation and collaboration, we aim to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world technology applications, ensuring all students have access to opportunities that help them grow as developers, creators, and future leaders in the tech industry. Additionally, we strive to cultivate a supportive environment where students can connect, share knowledge, and contribute to meaningful projects within the broader tech community.
