Niharika Singh is a part-time lecturer in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Seattle.

Singh teaches the fundamentals of generative AI, with the goal of helping students understand these technologies and explore their capabilities, applications, and limitations. In the research realm, she examines agentic AI and multi-agent systems with an emphasis on developing reliable and effective decision-making agents. She also leverages temporal horizons within hierarchical reinforcement learning to optimize multiple objectives, all while addressing hallucination and reliability challenges.

Singh was drawn to the AI field by the technology’s rapid evolution and its potential to transform how humans build and interact with intelligent systems. She previously taught at the University of Helsinki (Finland), Bennett University (India), and DY Patil International University (India), and has showcased her research in IEEE Transactions, Artificial Intelligence Review, Nature, Springer, and NeurIPS.

Outside of work, Singh enjoys exploring new places and spending time with friends and family.
