Minor in Computer Science
The Computer Science minor gives you hands-on programming skills and a foundation in how computing systems work, no prior experience needed. Through five courses — core programming and CS fundamentals, plus electives you choose — you’ll build the technical proficiency to solve real problems in whatever field you’re studying, from health care to business to the arts. The minor fits easily alongside any degree program and prepares you for a world where computing skills are valuable in nearly every career path.

Build your foundation
You’ll start by taking two introductory courses in computer science with Khoury College majors and nonmajors alike, developing your knowledge base while getting to know Khoury College’s diverse community. Once you complete your foundational classes, you’ll have opportunities to choose electives based on your interests and goals.

Amal Ahmed
Amal Ahmed is an associate dean of graduate programs and a professor at Khoury College. Her programming languages research has touched on semantics, type systems, secure compilation, gradual typing, and software contracts.
