Biography
Ohida Binte Amin is a PhD student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. She is advised by Tim Bickmore and the College of Engineering's Deniz Erdogmus.
As part of Khoury College's personal health informatics program and CoE's Cognitive Systems Lab, Amin is interested in extending state-of-the-art machine learning innovations to improve personal health monitoring and health care systems. This includes incorporating digital phenotyping to better extract contextual and behavioral information from passive sensing data.
Amin previously worked as a research fellow at Baylor College of Medicine and Rice University. She also held industry positions at Samsung Research America, Robi Axiata Limited, and Abelling, where she applied machine learning to assistive technologies. She is excited to connect with new people and learn from their diverse life experiences.
