Heather Wilkerson is an assistant co-op coordinator at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston.

In her role, Wilkerson teaches the “Professional Development” course, oversees curriculum for the on-Co-op course, maintains an advising caseload, and connects with employer partners.

Wilkerson brings over 20 years of coaching, consulting, and leadership experience across higher education, Fortune 100 companies (including Schneider Electric and Google), and health care.

She began her career in human resources and employee assistance programs before pivoting to career and professional development, working within universities, Right Management, and her own private coaching and consulting business. She has built three comprehensive career development programs from the ground up and has written and presented numerous training and development curricula. Throughout her career, she has supported hundreds of clients in clarifying their strengths and values to find meaningful career paths, helping students tell their story, discover companies and positions that match their skills, and craft actionable career plans.

She holds a master's degree in counseling, received her coaching training and certification through CTI, and is PCC credentialed through the ICF.

Outside of work, Wilkerson, a native Texan now living in Rhode Island, enjoys running, yoga, and hiking. She and her husband are often joined at home by one or two of their four children, who are at various stages of launch.
