1 Major
Choose from three core majors — computer science, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence — or one of 62 combined majors. Khoury College offers unprecedented opportunities to select an academic program that sets you up for success and allows you to pursue your unique interests.
2 Experiential opportunities
A key Northeastern advantage is its experiential learning model. For generations, our students have gained real-world experience within our ecosystem of hundreds of global partners through opportunities that include:
Co-ops: Northeastern’s renowned cooperative education program is ranked #1 nationally according to U.S. News & World Report. Students often go on to find job opportunities within their co-op companies, as well as build a professional network before even finishing college.
Research projects: Whether for course credit or as part of a paid experience, you’ll have the opportunity to offer fresh perspectives and insights, helping drive discoveries and innovation.
The co-op consulting program connects students, faculty, and industry partners through real-world, project-based learning. Mentored by faculty and staff, small groups of students apply classroom knowledge to solve industry challenges.
Students in Professional Practicum work in small teams of five to six students on a client-sourced problem for a full semester, blending faculty and industry mentorship with hands-on technical and professional development. You’ll present your solution to both professors and industry partners at the end of the term.
Student-led clubs: Explore your passion, build your portfolio, and develop leadership skills in the company of your peers.
3 Global learning experiences
You’ll have numerous options to study, work, and make connections across Northeastern’s global network. Learn in a variety of locations across the US and around the globe — it’s up to you!
NUin: Begin your first semester abroad — in locations that include Portugal, Scotland, Greece, and Ireland — before transitioning to Boston in your second semester. You’ll join an adventurous cohort of peers who will soon become a core part of your network and community.
Dialogue of Civilizations: Spend a month abroad while taking two classes, visiting regional tech companies, and engaging with international experts in CS and other fields.
Semester In: Get to know a new city within Northeastern’s global network in a semester-long immersive experience.
Summer In: Network with local companies and explore cultural landmarks while benefitting from an academic experience focused on a specific topic.
