The BS in Artificial Intelligence explores the design, development, and application of intelligent systems that learn, reason, and act. You’ll gain knowledge in machine learning, advanced neural networks, natural language processing, information retrieval, large-scale data storage, and AI ethics. The program combines computer science, mathematics, statistics, and probability theory with a rigorous focus on the ethical and societal dimensions of AI, preparing you for careers or graduate study in the field.

Byron Wallace

Byron Wallace

Byron Wallace is an associate dean of research, a director for the undergraduate artificial intelligence program, and the Sy and Laurie Sternberg Interdisciplinary Associate Professor at Khoury College. He applies machine learning and natural language processing methods in the health informatics space, with the goal of developing hybrid human–AI systems and streamlining the synthesis of biomedical information.
