Critical Language Scholarship

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program provides fully funded immersive summer programs for US undergraduate and graduate students to learn languages of strategic importance to the United States’ national security, economic prosperity, and engagement with the world.

The Hodgkinson Award recognizes top students on the basis of academic and experiential performance, and selections are made by a faculty committee.

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for US citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies abroad.

This award allows students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year master’s degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing, one of China’s most distinguished universities.
