I earned my Master of Management from Cambridge College, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Workforce Development from Northeastern University. I achieved my BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
I teach students the skills they will need to succeed in their professional lives, as well as develop relationships with employers and students. I most enjoy teaching the co-op seminar.
I am most compelled by creating opportunities for students to improve their careers and lives.
I was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina. I immigrated to the US in 1996 as a refugee after the four-year-long war ended.
I spent my first five years in the US helping refugees and immigrants to find their first jobs in the country. I then spent eleven years advising and helping urban young adults to continue their college education. At the same time, I was working on my degrees. There are two reasons why I chose this career: one, I love guiding young adults through the process of choosing their career paths; and two, I love working with the population that CCIS serves.
