Amogh Pradeep

Amogh Pradeep is a student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, advised by Professor David Choffnes. Prior to coming to Northeastern, he earned a Bachelor’s in Technology from the International Institute of Information Technology in Hyderabad, India. His research areas include Security and Privacy as well as Systems and Networks, and his research focuses on Mobile Privacy.
My main research interest lies in the field of Mobile Privacy. Since the early years of my undergrad, I’ve had an affinity to mobile technology and soon found that Security is a fascinating aspect in relation to mobile technologies. These interests put together have resulted in me pursuing a PhD to further educate myself and hopefully make useful contributions to Mobile Security.
The fact that I am expected to keep in touch with cutting edge technological developments in my field fascinates me.
The very fact that research in computer science exists surprises some people.
My current goal is to try to learn as much in my field of interest and figure out what I want to do next when I’m more advanced in my program.
I spent my formative years in Bangalore, India.
I pursued my undergrad in Hyderabad, India. I found the program there to be really interesting and advanced as compared to other universities.
