Vikrant Singhal

Vikrant Singhal is a PhD student studying algorithms at Northeastern University’s Khoury College of Computer Sciences, advised by Professor Jonathan Ullman. Vikrant is interested in researching the theoretical aspects of computer science as well as security. Prior to joining the program at Northeastern, Vikrant earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
I’m a PhD student interested in some of the theoretical aspects of computer science, especially differential privacy and cryptography.
As of now, I’m interested in working on the algorithmic aspects of Differential Privacy.
The “P versus NP” problem? Just joking; I’d rather leave that to the pros. As I go along, I will find multiple interesting problems, which I would love to work on.
The most interesting aspect to me is the fact that in the research of Theory, physical machines are mostly used for just downloading or creating texts. Mathematics is all-powerful.
Theory.
I grew up in Delhi, India.
I completed my undergraduate program at the University of Southern California, majoring in computer science with a minor in mathematics. It is a brilliant school, with plenty of opportunities to get involved in all kinds of academic and recreational activities.
