What are the specifics of your educational/career background?
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a concentration in elementary education, while minoring in sociology, from Framingham State University. I spent a few years working as an extended day site director at an elementary school in Wilmington. Then, I got hired at Northeastern University, where I have been for the past few years. I am very excited to begin my new professional chapter in Khoury College!
What are the key aspects of your role at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most about what you do?
In my role as the manager of faculty affairs at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences, I assist Senior Associate Dean Javed Aslam and the dean’s office administrative team in ensuring the efficiency of college processes and procedures related to faculty affairs. I enjoy working with faculty and staff to reach a more efficient way of doing things while also learning about faculty research. I find that I am always learning something new!
What’s the most compelling thing to you about the work that goes on at Khoury?
I love that Khoury College is a welcoming, diverse, and innovative place to work.
Where did you grow up or spend your most defining years?
I grew up in Hudson, Massachusetts, and now reside in the Boston area.
What led you to work in your field and/or study at your college?
I have been fortunate enough to have wonderful mentors in higher education during my time as a student at Framingham State and in my career at Northeastern University. I have always wanted to be a part of the Northeastern community, which continuously supports student, staff, and faculty development. I am excited to have found my new professional home at Khoury College within the Northeastern community!
