What are the brief specifics of your education/career background?
I earned my Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Potsdam in English creative writing with a minor in chemistry. Afterwards, I attended Emerson college and received my Master of Arts in publishing and writing. I did temp work as an Administrative Assistant in higher education for about a year before coming to work in CCIS. On my own time, I work as a self-published author, writing fantasy fiction.
What are the key aspects of your role at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most about what you do?
I support the Director of Administration and Finance to manage college budgets including payroll and expense reconciliations. I help with Concur expense tracking and provide monthly budget reconciliations and projections to area Directors and prepare financial forecasts and reports as needed.
I enjoy seeing how CCIS is ran on the back end as a business, especially as a rapidly growing one, and love contributing to that process.
What’s the most compelling thing to you about the work that goes on at CCIS?
What I love the most about working for Northeastern University is seeing all of the opportunities the university provides for both students and staff to further their education and to learn about the diverse fields in an engaging environment. Northeastern University strives to ensure the success of everyone: students, faculty, and staff, and I’m proud to be a part of that kind of environment.
