What are the brief specifics of your educational/career background?

I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at James Madison University and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration at Boston University. My initial career trajectory was in the mental health field. However after taking a position in higher education, I quickly realized that this field was the most simulating to me and where I saw myself building a career and making a meaningful contribution to the world.

What are the key aspects of your role at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most/find most interesting about what you do?

As an advisor, it is always my intention to create welcoming space for students as they work to attain their personal and academic goals.  I enjoy helping students navigate finding solutions to their questions while also encouraging their belief in their own potential.

What’s the most compelling thing to you about the research/work that goes on at the College?

I am continually impressed by the minds at Khoury College that are so dedicated to field of computer science and finding solutions to meet an increasingly data-driven world. It is truly an exciting energy to be around.

Where did you grow up/spend the most defining years of your child/young adulthood?

I grew up just 20 minutes north of Boston and have lived in Massachusetts for most of my life. I completed my undergraduate degree in Virginia, but my love for New England and desire to be close my family called me back home.
