What are the brief specifics of your educational/career background?
I completed my BA in Japanese Language at UMASS Amherst, and completed my MA in International Education Management at The Middlebury Institute for International Studies at Monterey. Prior to joining Khoury College, I was in the Global Experience Office working with data and program/student learning assessment.
What are the key aspects of your role at Northeastern? What do you enjoy most/find most interesting about what you do?
I mainly work with data and reporting to support the Khoury College co-op team. I also work with job development and employer relations.
I interested in how we use data to drive better, more informed decision making. When the right people have the right information, knowing where we are and how to get where we want to be is that much easier. The better informed we are, the better we can support students.
What’s the most compelling thing to you about the research/work that goes on at the College?
Both the students and faculty are incredibly passionate about the work that they do. Seeing student projects and faculty research, I’m amazed by the creativity and innovative thinking used to solve real problems we face today.
I love that Khoury College has programming across so many disciplines of computer science, and even the Align program for students with no prior CS background like me. Khoury College is at the forefront of enabling students to access and excel in computer science.
