Systems Outage: June 30 – July 2
From June 30 to July 2, contractors will be replacing HVAC ductwork in the Khoury datacenter in West Village H (312 WVH). The ductwork is being upgraded to accommodate the installation of a new 20-ton Liebert room cooling system, replacing the aging backup unit.
In order to protect our college systems from dust, debris, and overheating, we are required to shut down all systems hosted in 312 WVH for the duration of the work. Listed below are the services that will be affected and not affected in the June 30 – July 2 shutdown.
Services not affected:
- Khoury email and authentication will remain active and available
- The college’s main website.
- Research group sites hosted on WordPress.
- Office 365 services – Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.
Services affected:
- Research servers hosted in 312A WVH.
- Desktops and servers on Khoury networks in ISEC, 177 Huntington, Meserve, and Nightingale, including all inbound and outbound network access.
- login and login-faculty servers.
- All research Virtual Machines hosted by Khoury Systems.
- Khoury Virtual Desktops services.
- Course and personal websites.
- Bottlenose and Hourglass grading and exam servers.
- GitHub, Confluence, Admin portal, and My Khoury portal.
