She began her career as a journalist with the WNPA covering Education Policy at the capitol in Washington State before becoming a technical University Recruiter. She later transitioned into a career in technology after completing graduate school and various internships. Alice holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Washington and a master’s degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University. In her spare time, she enjoys playing video games, drawing, and most recently pickling vegetables.

Yudong was a computer science align student back in 2016 spring, before northeastern university, he was a Mechanical Engineering student at Boston University. During the align program, he did 3 internships in Facebook, Amazon and SAP Concur. After graduation he spent 2 year at Amazon, and he is currently with Oracle as a software engineer. Yudong also participates in the align mentor program since 19fall and keeps contributing to the align program.

Teela Samuel, like many ALIGN students, was transitioning from a previous career. With a background in psychology and organizational development, she spent over a decade working in various organizations, focused on a variety of workforce dynamics topics. Having decided that she was ready to move on to a new challenge, she began the ALIGN program in spring of 2018. She recently completed her degree in May 2020 and has been working with NBC Universal since then.
Katherine (Kate) Schultz | Data Scientist | Pacific Northwest National Laboratory; Modeling & Simulation Team, Computational Biology Group
Kate Schultz (she/her) has been a data scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since June 2020. She began at PNNL as a Masters Intern in 2019 while working on her MSCS at Northeastern University Seattle (Align Program). She previously earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Jim Bowker | Director of Information Security | Mitz Levin
Jim Bowker is the Director of Information Security at Mintz Levin, which is a law firm located in Boston, MA. Prior to his time at the firm, he was the VP of Information Security at a local bank. He received his MS in Cybersecurity form Northeastern in 2013 and he also holds a CISSP certification. He has over 20 years of IT experience and has spent about a decade in the information security field.
Ilya Sinelnikov | Director of Product Management | Superpedestrian
Ilya Sinelnikov is the Director of Product Management at Superpedestrian product, which is a transportation robotics company located in Cambridge, MA. He is an expert in leading cross-functional teams to launch new products and co-founded and led Envy.rent — the first car rental marketplace built on shared economy principles. He received his MS in Cyber Security in 2016 from Northeastern University and has over 10 years of experience focusing on micro mobility, shared economics, and urban transportation.
