The workshop is a gentle introduction to computer science that assumes that the participant has no knowledge of computer science or programming. The two-day complimentary Saturday series covers the basics of computer science along with an introduction to programming in Python. Come and join us to learn more.
The workshop sessions are Saturday, February 2, 2019 and Saturday, February 9, 2019. Course sessions start at 9 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m.
Participants can expect to:
- Utilize problem-solving skills and see how computer science applies to your work and everyday life
- Experience a gentle introduction to the basic concepts of computing and programming
- Learn the computer programming language Python
Participants are expected to attend both sessions of the workshop. A laptop is required.
