Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE)
Helping Asian STEM leaders grow through community, career development, and innovation
Northeastern SASE (Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers) is a chapter of a national organization dedicated to empowering Asian science and engineering students to excel in their careers while embracing their heritage. Through professional development, community service, and cultural events, we create opportunities for students to grow both personally and professionally. From networking nights and resume reviews to food banks and trash clean-ups, our events are built around our three pillars: professionalism, diversity, and service. We also foster a strong sense of community through engaging activities like pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, and cultural celebrations.
This academic year, we brought more than 40 members to the SASE national conference to attend workshops, connect with industry professionals, and explore career opportunities and secured internships. We launched an initiative at the Museum of Science to celebrate Asian American Heritage Month, highlighting the contributions of Asian scientists and engineers. At SASE, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where all students can find mentorship, gain valuable skills, and build lasting friendships. Whether you’re looking to advance in your career, give back to the community, or connect with peers who share your experiences, SASE is here to help you thrive.
