A wide view of the student clubs fair at Northeastern. Three red canopy tents are set up in a campus plaza shaded by trees. Club members stand behind tables under the tents while students interested in joining clubs ask questions.

Roux Institute Sailors

Bringing Maine culture to students in a unique and memorable way

The Roux Institute Sailors aims to provide access to sailing for all Northeastern University students in Portland, Maine. Many domestic students from Maine have enjoyed sailing throughout their lives, either through summer camps or as a hobby, while many international students have never had the opportunity to sail on the ocean. The student interest group is a great way for domestic and international students to not only connect, but to discover and share a new passion. Sailing brings Maine culture to our students in a unique and memorable way.
